Description
It seems like I can message people on my buddy list that are offline with ICQ but I can't seem to do this with the AIM protocol. As far as i understand ICQ/AIM should be using the same protocol now days (OSCAR).
http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/1229 <- pidgin ticket about offline support for AIM.
So I am wondering if it would be possible to add in offline messaging support for AIM?
Thanks

Sorry, haven't had the time to test but basically.
- Does not seem to be able to receive offline messages
This is me in finch attempting to send an offline message to another AIM account which is 'account off' in bitlbee
(01:02:01) paul: offline messaging tests (01:02:01) Unable to send message: Not logged in (Unable to receive offline messages)
- I think the client needs to let the server know that it supports offline messaging then fetch/process it when it signs on. Same thing with sending i think.

Closing because AIM is dead (ICQ isn't and this says it works with ICQ)
Hrm, that patch seems fairly well-structured, porting it back to BitlBee might be fairly doable.
How does receiving offline messages work now? Broken as well? TBH I Don't use AIM at all and don't really have any active ICQ contacts anymore either.
