Description

It would be good if Bitlbee could store history log for each contact and with simple command (for example hist <nick>) prints it in new query window (private chat with nick window would be separate from hisory nick window).

Nah, every IRC client can do this already, so I don't see why BitlBee should duplicate this. If you switch IRC clients often, using an IRC proxy is probably a better solution, especially because it also takes care of the non-BitlBee logs then.

I'll close this, but if you got a good reason why BitlBee really should do this, feel free to ask for a reopen. :-)

Well, I think that it would be much better to have bitlbee this feature. In Irssi is logging weird. Yes, it works but it's "stupid". The history per contact would be "smart" :)

What's weird/stupid about Irssi's logging, and why do you think BitlBee would do a better job?... There's no difference between a contact and a BitlBee nick...

Well, stupid is that irssi cant display log in query window... You have to list logs manualy. Of course you can use queryresume.pl, but that looks weird... :)
