Sorry for taking so long to get back at you.

Anyway, what's the exact benefit of this patch? It's quite long and pretty much rewrites the file. (Also, it doesn't follow the coding style currently used in the file at all...)

I think most problems should be fixed in changeset:devel,327. No more complaints about ignored conffiles.
