Description
Hi guys:
I use ZNC as my way to connect to my various IRC servers (bitlbee included, hosted locally on the same box :)). One thing that's always annoyed me, and is unfortunately an unsolved problem is that ZNC doesn't support buffering of Queries in the same way it does channels. I'm sure a lot of people use ZNC with Bitlbee, so it could/would be useful to allow the ability to use channels instead of queries as the default method to communicate with connected users.

Yes, I ran across that one. It's close to what I'm looking for, except not all in the control channel. I was looking more for it to be split into seperate channels. For instance, if I am talking to BobSmith, it would create a channel (#jabber_bobsmith), which chatting into that would send message to bob smith.
I know it's fairly specific, but I think for people who do use bouncers, and enjoy synchronosity between all their devices.. it could be very useful.

You'll just have to do that manually. Join &bobsmith when you want to talk to him, etc.

Hmm.. I'm trying to see where that can be setup. There are only a few people I know that I would want that functionality with. How can this be done?

I'd recommend an IRC client script. Or a patch to BitlBee if you're feeling brave.
