Description
To be able to logon to yahoo chat. This shouldnt be too difficult as the functions are almost identical to that for conference which is called for group chats. I have been trying to get this to work for about 2 months but my programming knowledge isnt quite rounded enough to do so.

Yes, this would be nice for AIM too. Problem is that the current AI for joining groupchats isn't really suitable for this kind of chats, have to think of a way to fix that.
The JOIN command probably won't be suitable, since I guess those conversations can have names with characters that are not allowed in channel names. Also, it'd get a bit hackish when you also have to specify the account/protocol for the chat...
So it'll probably be a new root-command. And indeed, that plus probably some extra API glue should be enough to implement this for at least Yahoo! and AIM.

I just finished merging recent libyahoo2 code into BitlBee. It shouldn't be too hard to add some hooks to make these chats work now ... but is anyone still interested in this ATM?

I forgot to include email address in original ticket, Also, as for those wanting to link their irc / bitlbee servers there is a program out there that will do it however there are a few kinks in it, minor, most having to do with a change to the ts protocal i believe.
