Closing this one in favour of #996. This bug has been fixed in the JSON branch (streaming mode only), which will be merged and release fairly soon.

Twitter doesn't repeat retweets of msgs that are in your timeline already. That includes retweets you've done yourself. BitlBee normally just shows these confirmations as part of the periodic timeline fetches.
So some other way is required to get these confirmations.
