#844 new enhancement
Basic Activity Logging
Reported by: | Owned by: | ||

Priority: | normal | Milestone:
Component: | BitlBee | Version: | 3.0.3 |
Keywords: | log activity bitlbee ircd | Cc:

OS version/distro: | Centos 5.6 |
Description
I didn't notice any logging features. I'd like see timestamped activity logging of what's happening on the ircd. connects, joins, parts, ping, mode changes, etc. I don't think it's prudent (at this juncture) to log ALL activity, but perhaps everything is logged, and you can filter out. Perhaps dump it off to syslog using levels as appropriate?
This may be moot, as a transition to separating the irc functions from bitlbee could mean inclusion of full-fledged ircd.

You know you get some of this stuff when you're /OPER? Your IRC client can then take care of logging it.
