Description

You should register the bitlbee application with twitter. You can find out how to do so from here: dev.twitter.com/apps/new

It's mostly cosmetic, but having a registered app makes your tweets show up "via bitlbee" on twitter.com

Are you sure you're using 1.2.7? Because 1.2.7 does OAuth authentication, which automatically takes care of the "via BitlBee" part, see: http://twitter.com/BitlBee

Is it not working for you somehow?

Nope, I'm using 1.2.6a I'll try 1.2.7 Thanks for the info.
