Description

When adding the BitlBee user from an ICQ client (v6.5) - this happens: http://www.pastie.org/355716

Please note - There are 3 "New Request:"'s instead of just 2 - The message "oscar - New request: The user [ICQ_NUM] is not in your buddy list yet. Do you want to add him/her now?" is repeated twice, and should appear only once.

Please just paste things in here, no need for pastebin. It happened before that someone did this, and by the time I got to look at that bug for real, pastebin already flushed the entry.

Anyway, this is indeed somewhat ugly. Doing this better is on the TODO for some time already, but will take more time than one would think. :-/ It's also not OSCAR-specific, unless I misunderstand your report now.

I can provide a direct paste from Jabber that I experienced recently, in case the pastebin disappears:

12:01 < root> jabber(foo@gmail.com) - New request: The user foo@jabber.org wants to add you to his/her buddy list.
12:01 < root> You can use the yes/no commands to accept/reject this request.
12:01 < foo> yes
12:01 < root> jabber(foo@gmail.com) - Accepted: The user foo@jabber.org wants to add you to his/her buddy list.
12:01 < root> jabber(foo@gmail.com) - New request: The user foo@jabber.org is not in your buddy list yet. Do you want to add him/her now?
