Description

Anytime I change my IRC status, jabber server sends this warning:

JID: ticho@…/BitlBee

132120 > You are no longer marked as being away 132120 > Irssi: 1 new messages in awaylog:

13:21:15&bitlbee: (@BOfH) jabber - Warning: Could not handle presence

information from JID: ticho@…/BitlBee

132120 (@BOfH) jabber - Warning: Could not handle presence information from

JID: ticho@…/BitlBee

ticho@… is my account. I change the status in Irssi, using default "/away somemessage" and "/away" commands.

This worked in 1.0.x.

This message stopped appearing after I added myself (ticho@…) as a contact for that account. Go figure.

Today I got this message for the first time. I did not change my status (was away at that time) and added myself as a contact a while already ago. I'm using GMail, bitlbee/sid compiled for etch and irssi.

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

I finally killed this spam in changeset:devel,458 since it's not very useful and mostly warns the user about his other resources or buggy XMPP servers.

BTW, /away should just work, even with these messages. If you had the impression that /away was really broken, please reopen this bug.
