Description
Someone on AIM not on my contact list keeps messaging me, and I would like to be able to block the account without having to put it on my contact list.

The 'block' command does not do that--and anything else seems undocumented.

How does it not do that? I assume you've read the help information for it?

By only blocking people on my contact list. When I blocked someone that was not on my contact list, I kept getting messages. Yes, I have read the help.

I have the same issue. It's annoying. All the spambots who want me to go to their spam cam site and enter my creditcard, on AIM.
block yasmintongtgph block 7 <@root> Handle Nickname <@root> yasmintongtgph (none)
Yet even after that, I still receive their spam.
I could ignore them, but that's a bad way to solve the problem.
(Also, somehow they got my private AIM; I don't know if OSCAR has some public directory of AIM addresses, but if it does, is Bitlbee posting onto it?)

To original submitter: Which IM protocol is this?
I'm getting many reports recently that blocking on AIM/OSCAR isn't working.
How is this not possible?
