  1. someone invites me to groupchat on gmail chat
  2. /join #thegroupchat
  3. in #thegroupchat, /part
  4. bitlbee disconnects

Does the chat actually work BTW, or do you also end up in an empty room?

The chat actually works. bitlbee just dies when I try to /part

Hm, I remember a bug like this but IIRC I fixed it already.. Are you really using 3.0.2? 3.0.1 will still have the bug.

There was indeed another bug. I hit it myself this week and found a fix.
