Description
I need to use groupwise, aim, irc, and jabber at the same time. However bitlbee does not support groupwise so I am stuck using gaim in conjunction with my irc client.
Could I request gruopwise support for bitlbee?

Hmm, and maybe I should've realized just a little bit earlier that, if Gaim supports it, there must be some kind of specification, even if it's source code.

so, are you guys going to rip out the groupwise portion of gaim and splice it into bitlbee?

Any news on this? Pidgin/purple does Groupwise really well, and it'd be excellent to see another protocol merged in.

We don't have a groupwise server to test against so if we could import the code from gaim we wouldn't be able to test it. i
It should be possible to write a plugin with groupwise support.

Closing all protocol request tickets.
For most of the requested protocols, it's likely we won't have time and/or interest to implement them, and some tickets have stayed open here for years when they have libpurple implementations, or even as third party plugins. Implementing protocols in the core is far from a priority nowadays, although I hope we can make it easier to write third party plugins. As always, anyone who is interested in implementing bitlbee plugins for these can do so, and we're willing to help (join irc!)
In this particular case, there is a libpurple implementation, see http://wiki.bitlbee.org/HowtoPurple
Well, of course we'd need the protocol specifications. Also, having a Groupwise server somewhere to test the code would be necessary, and I'm afraid those are a bit hard to find...
