Description

Corebird, another famous Twitter client, announced it will stop development because Twitter is soon to deprecate its current API in favor of a new one that operates in a completely different form it seems.

It's possible that bitlbee needs to update at least its docs and wiki regarding Twitter support soon.

At least when using another third-party app (Piepmatz) the limit of the new API doesn't look that bad. Sending and receiving messages works just fine.
