It would be so awesome if Bitlbee could display notifications in the channel, e.g. when new people follow, unfollow, retweet or fav your tweets. The protocol gives those data, I think…

Yeah I had this idea too. Those are indeed included in the stream, should just think how to make a setting to show those kinds of notifications optionally, and maybe also a setting to send them to the control channel instead of the usual twitter stream (since i'd personally prefer to keep that noise out, but i dunno).

I think a new channel would be okay too, and then maybe you can (ab)use the existing levels like JOIN/QUIT etc.. Or just use /notice or /me…
