#1202 fixed Twitter: tweets with embedded tweets sometimes(?) not shown levu@…
Description

Sometimes tweets with embedded tweets (= link to a tweet inside) don't get shown. I experienced this now a hand full of times over the last days, starting when twitter announced their "retweet with comment" feature, which essentially is just tweeting with a link to some other tweet inside.

Some other tweets with links to a tweet inside were displayed indeed.

I looked into the twitter API, a tweet object looks the same it looked some weeks ago, so I guess there were no changes.

Since there were no missing bitlbee-tweet-IDs (those 2digit-hex-numbers) in the time range the tweet was posted, this is not some client filtering or so.

Version is BitlBee 3.4-0-g61d21e5-release-3.4-git API version 030400

#1201 invalid Add online status of user to query topic dragonchaser@…
Description

Hi,

it would be a nice feature, if bitlbee would display the online status of the communication partner in the query-topic

e.g.

currently implementation:

user@…

would become:

online:

user@… (online)

away:

user@… (away|<reason>)

etc.

#1200 fixed Crash with jabber protocol when joining room anonymous
Description

bitlbee 3.2 through current devel seems to crash when I join a group chat. I have pinpointed the exact line where it crashes, but do not understand the code base enough to get why.

How I reproduce: Join server successfully (able to talk to other people), then:

chat add jabber room@… #room

This doesn't crash anything. As soon as I join the room, however, bitlbee crashes.

Here are my account settings:

<@super> acc jabber set
<@root> activity_timeout = `600'
<@root> auto_connect = `true'
<@root> auto_reconnect = `true'
<@root> away is empty
<@root> display_name is empty
<@root> nick_format is empty
<@root> nick_source = `handle'
<@root> oauth = `false'
<@root> password = `********' (hidden)
<@root> port = `5222'
<@root> priority = `0'
<@root> proxy = `<local>;<auto>'

<@root> tls_verify = `off'
<@root> user_agent = `BitlBee'

I have noticed that bud->ext_jid is NULL when strchr() is being called.

This seems to happen whether OTR is enabled or not, whether debugging is enabled or not. I do not have access to ASAN on my compiler on my platform unfortunately.

Btw, thanks for bitlbee, it is amazingly useful software even when things like this arise.

Note: See TracQuery for help on using queries.
