Milestone 1.2

The first major release after 1.0. Although we initially planned to do a lot of work on the design for this release, this didn't really work out yet. However, there are lots of new features, so it should still be a worthy major release. :-)

Don't know if this one will be called 1.1 or maybe 1.2.
